How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Permanent, Full Time

Do you have experience in housing allocations or lettings and enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment? Join Amplius as an Allocations Coordinator, where you’ll manage end-to-end lettings and support customers through key housing moves. You’ll work closely with colleagues, local authorities, and partners to deliver efficient services that help create safe, stable, and thriving communities.

    Salary: £34,188 per year

    Contract: Permanent, full time

    Your week: 36.25 hours Monday – Friday 8.45am – 5pm

Location: Hybrid with a weekly presence in our Milton Keynes office

    Snapshot of your role

    *

Manage the full lettings process, from marketing and advertising properties through to customer sign-up.

    *

Minimise void times by ensuring properties are allocated and re-let efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

    *

Oversee tenancy terminations, ensuring legal compliance and providing advice and support to customers.

    *

Ensure all allocations meet legal, regulatory, and organisational policy requirements, challenging unsuitable nominations where needed.

    *

Work collaboratively with internal teams, local authorities, and partner agencies to deliver smooth and timely allocations.

    *

Support relocation projects, including regeneration schemes and planned or emergency decants, ensuring moves are completed to agreed timelines.

    *

Maintain accurate and confidential records, report on lettings data, and provide responsive support to resolve customer queries, complaints, and additional needs.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role

    *

CIH Level 2 qualification (achieved, working towards, or willing to work towards).

    *

Good knowledge and practical experience of lettings, allocations, and relocations within a housing setting.

    *

Strong understanding of housing and tenancy law, including nomination agreements and compliance requirements.

    *

Up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory environment, with the ability to apply changes in practice.

    *

Experience of working with local authorities and external partners to deliver services.

    *

Ability to use housing management systems effectively and maintain accurate records.

    *

A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across teams to deliver consistent services.

    *

Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to stay focused and effective under pressure, including travel across the region as required.
