How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you looking to build a career in mental health or education? Do you want real, hands-on experience supporting children with complex emotional needs?

We are currently recruiting for a Mental Health Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Oxford. This is an ideal opportunity for aspiring professionals in fields such as educational psychology, counselling, SEN teaching, or social work.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be supporting children dealing with trauma, anxiety, and behavioural difficulties, helping them develop strategies to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Your Role as a Mental Health Assistant:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs

Implement behaviour and emotional regulation strategies

Build trust and provide consistent emotional support

Create a calm, safe, and structured learning environment

The role of a Mental Health Assistant requires emotional resilience, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable young people.

    What We're Looking For:

A strong interest in SEN and mental health support

Someone who thrives in a challenging but rewarding environment

Working as a Mental Health Assistant is a meaningful step toward a long-term career in education or mental health. You'll gain invaluable insight into the day-to-day challenges faced by children with SEMH needs.
