We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Vehicle Inspector to join our team based in Rochester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stability, regular hours, and a move away from a fully "on-the-tools" mechanical role.
The Role
As a Mechanical Vehicle Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed vehicle health checks and inspections to ensure vehicles meet required standards before further activity.
Key Responsibilities
Completing Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs) to a high standard
Identifying and accurately recording mechanical issues
Reporting findings clearly and professionally
Working within established inspection and safety procedures
Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
About You
This role would suit:
Someone with prior experience completing VHCs in a dealership environment, or
A candidate qualified to Level 2 in Light Vehicle Repair
A newly qualified apprentice looking to build experience outside of a fast-paced workshop, or
An experienced mechanic seeking to step back from tool-based work while staying within the automotive industryEssential Requirements
Full UK driving licence (essential due to location)
Good mechanical knowledge and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
