How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role Overview

    The Production Team Leader is responsible for leading a team to deliver daily production targets while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The role ensures all activities within the area are executed accurately and in line with company procedures, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

    The role also involves proactively monitoring performance through KPIs, taking action to maximise productivity, and ensuring effective use of manpower through flexibility and cross-training.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead a team of Technicians to achieve production targets and support business improvement initiatives, reporting to the Production Manager.

    * Manage team performance, development, behaviour, and wellbeing through regular review and proactive support.

    * Ensure product delivery meets project timelines and report progress in company meetings.

    Team Leadership

    * Promote and enforce safe working practices in line with H&S policies and risk assessments.

    * Foster teamwork through open communication, collaboration, and shared best practices.

    * Manage attendance, timekeeping, discipline, and conduct in line with company procedures.

    * Maintain accurate records of absence, holidays, sickness, and timesheets.

    * Support employee development through mentoring, 1:1s, PDPs, and annual reviews.

    * Identify and address training needs, including onboarding for new processes and technologies.

    * Support recruitment activities, including interviewing candidates.

    Operational Leadership

    * Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.

    * Plan and allocate workload and staffing to meet production targets.

    * Resolve operational issues through coordination with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Stores teams.

    * Monitor job progress and ensure adherence to schedules and performance expectations.

    * Deliver accurate KPI reporting (daily, weekly, monthly).

    * Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for operational issues and manage overbooking reporting.

    * Oversee in-house calibration in line with QA procedures.

    * Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 6S within the work area.

    * Provide technical support to team members and collaborate with other team leaders.

    * Support production delivery during absences and work flexibly, including outside standard hours when required.

    * Contribute to production planning and broader business objectives.

    Continuous Improvement

    * Evaluate and improve production processes in collaboration with Production Engineering.

    * Identify and implement changes to improve quality, efficiency, lead times, and cost.

    * Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

    * Work within ISO 9001:2015 standards and practices.

    Qualifications & Experience

    * ONC/HNC in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience (desirable).

    * ILM Level 2/3 in Leadership and Management or similar (desirable)
