How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Family Support Worker - Complex SEN setting

    Full-time | Term-Time

    ASAP Start

    Gloucester

    £85-£105 per day (depending on experience)

    We are working with a highly supportive and specialist SEN school in Gloucester that is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive environment for pupils with complex needs. This setting in Gloucester prides itself on a strong pastoral approach, where every child is understood as an individual and supported both academically and emotionally to reach their full potential.

    This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and committed Family Support Worker to play a key role in strengthening the link between home and school. You will support pupils-helping to overcome barriers, improve engagement, and promote positive outcomes in and beyond the classroom.

    The Role: Family Support Worker - Complex SEN setting - Gloucester

    Work closely with the DSL and wider pastoral team
    Provide targeted support and interventions for pupils and their families
    Build strong relationships with parents/carers to support engagement and wellbeing
    Carry out assessments and contribute to tailored support plans
    Occasionally visit families at home to provide additional support
    Collaborate with teaching and specialist staff to ensure a holistic approachThe Ideal Candidate:

    Recent experience supporting children and families with complex or severe learning difficulties
    Strong understanding of safeguarding and pastoral support
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
    Compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach.Requirements:

    Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
