How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Details

    Location: Westminster, London
    Start Date: April 2026 (long-term contract)
    Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
    Pay: £95-£97 per day (dependent on experience)
    Supportive and welcoming school environmentThe Role

    As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality classroom support and ensure pupils are fully engaged in their learning. You will support individuals and small groups, helping pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve strong academic progress.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Supporting KS2 pupils in class and in small intervention groups
    Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
    Promoting positive behaviour and inclusive learning
    Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
    Helping create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment
    Assisting with classroom preparation and school activitiesCandidate Requirements

    The successful candidate will:

    Have experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting (KS2 experience desirable)
    Be proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting pupils
    Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
    Have good literacy and numeracy skills
    Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)
