How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Infrastructure and Hosting Lead

    About the role

    We are seeking a highly experienced Hosting/Infrastructure Lead for our clint who will oversee the hosting and infrastructure services within the organization. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the hosting services and infrastructure, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and scalable to meet the company's needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in infrastructure management, cloud services, and a strong understanding of best practices in hosting.

    Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)


    Key responsibilities

    • Lead Infrastructure Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy aligning with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of hosting and infrastructure services, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
    • Cloud Services: Manage and optimize the use of cloud services, ensuring cost-efficiency and scalability.
    • Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect infrastructure and data from threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations.
    • Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring minimal downtime in case of incidents.
    • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality infrastructure services.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the infrastructure team, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and effectiveness.
    • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on infrastructure projects and performance..

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Experience: Experience in infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of server, network, and storage systems, as well as cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
    • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
    • Performance Optimization: Proven ability to monitor and optimize infrastructure performance.
    • Disaster Recovery: Experience in developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
    • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing team members.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly.

    Preferred Skills

    • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar.
    • Experience with automation tools and practices (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines).
    • Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
    • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
