How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a renowned global investment bank, is now looking for a mid-level (3+ years. PQE) non-contentious regulatory lawyer to join their established regulatory team that primarily supports the investment bank across EMEA, but also lends support to the wider business which encompasses the investment management and retail businesses as and when required.

    The most interesting facet of this established legal team is the broad remit of work, whether it be focused on market infrastructure, emerging technologies/business ventures, product development or regulatory reform projects. This team, whilst being UK focused, deals with every jurisdiction of EU regulation, and general counsel advisory work too.

    This dynamic and challenging environment would suit a candidate from a top-tier private practice firm or someone who is already in-house, likely in another investment bank, custodian or exchange.

    The successful candidate will have 3 years’ PQE, at the minimum, and will bring:

    • Expertise advising on financial services regulations affecting the UK / Europe, including some/all of MiFID II, EMIR, PSD2, FSMA, CSDR and the FCA / PRA Handbook;
    • Investment banking experience, ideally encompassing product knowledge,
    • Experience supporting and/or leading on regulatory implementation projects.

    The position offers excellent exposure to the business, with the chance to take ownership of high-level regulatory projects.

    In order to attract top-tier talent, this bank will remunerate the successful candidate competitively, including an excellent benefits package. This team also enjoys an enviable and flexible hybrid working model with a consistent flow of work which translates to predictable working hours and healthy work/life balance.
