How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Accounts & Business Advisory Associate

    Location: Inverness, Scotland

    Contract: Permanent | Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

    Salary: £26,250 – £27,500 per annum

    Study Support: Yes

    Qualification Level: AAT (with progression available)

    Are you looking to take the next step in your accounting career? This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts & Business Advisory Associate to join a growing professional services environment where development, collaboration and progression are genuinely supported.

    You’ll be part of a supportive team, working with a varied client portfolio and developing both your technical accounting skills and your confidence in advising businesses.


    The Role

    As an Accounts & Business Advisory Associate, you will:


    Prepare annual statutory accounts for a range of clients

    Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounting records

    Assist with business advisory work and contribute insights and recommendations for review

    Communicate with clients and HMRC on accounting and compliance matters

    Develop an understanding of best practice accounting processes and controls

    Work collaboratively within a team while building your own professional voice


    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, wants exposure to real client work, and is keen to grow into a fully qualified accountant.


    Study & Development

    Skills & Experience


    AAT qualified or currently studying

    Some experience in accounts preparation or bookkeeping
