Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum plus package
About the Role
We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing house builder in Norfolk who is looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in the procurement of materials and subcontract services across multiple residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of materials, plant, and subcontract services in line with project requirements and budgets
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value without compromising quality
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks
- Work closely with Commercial, Technical, and Site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Prepare and issue enquiries, analyse quotations, and make recommendations
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
About You
- Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role within the house building or construction sector
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good understanding of construction materials and supply chain processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
