How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Looking for a role where you can apply your expertise, develop innovative methods, and make a real impact in the food and beverage industry?


    We’re looking for a Scientist to join our Analytical Services team at our Chipping Campden site.


    The role:

    You’ll play a key role in delivering analytical expertise and technical insight, supporting both internal teams and external clients. Working closely with the Laboratory Operations Manager, you’ll develop and optimise analytical methods, maintain instrumentation, and ensure high standards of quality and compliance across all activities.


    What you’ll do

    • Develop, optimise and validate analytical methods, particularly using ICP-OES and ICP-MS, ensuring they meet industry and ISO 17025 standards

    • Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation to ensure reliable and consistent performance

    • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, validation protocols and method reports

    • Deliver internal training and share technical knowledge to support team capability and continuous improvement

    • Support quality systems through internal audits, method reviews and investigation of non-conformances

    • Monitor industry developments and identify opportunities to improve analytical services and introduce new technologies


    About you

    • Degree in Chemical or Analytical Sciences with at least 5 years’ relevant experience

    • Strong hands-on experience with ICP-OES and ICP-MS, including method development and troubleshooting

    • Good understanding of ISO 17025 and working within accredited laboratory environments

    • Knowledge of food science and analytical requirements within the food and beverage industry is desirable

    • Proven ability to deliver technical projects in a timely and cost-effective way

    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

    • Highly organised with a proactive, problem-solving approach
