How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

FINANCIAL PLANNER – EXISTING HNW CLIENTS PROVIDED

UP TO £80,000 BASIC | OTE c£100,000 | EXETER & SOUTH WEST | LEADING WEALTH MANAGER

Have you ever wanted to focus on what really matters in financial planning -'the clients', without being constantly pulled towards hitting new business targets? If so, this is the role for you!

My client is a highly respected UK wealth management business who is looking for an experienced Financial Planner to join their Exeter team. You will be handed an established book of HNW private clients and trusted to manage them to the highest standard. Your bonus will be linked to the ongoing recurring revenue those relationships generate, the better you serve your clients, the more you earn. It's a refreshingly straightforward proposition.

    The role:

    • Managing an existing portfolio of HNW private clients across Exeter and the surrounding South West region, delivering bespoke, holistic financial planning advice
    • Building deep, trusted relationships with your clients and ensuring they receive a consistently outstanding level of service
    • Working in close collaboration with Investment Managers and specialists across the wider business to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions
    • Keeping your technical knowledge sharp and your advice compliant, current, and client-focused at all times

    What we're looking for:

    • A qualified Financial Planner with at least Level 4 status. Chartered or higher would be a real advantage
    • Someone who genuinely loves working with clients and takes pride in the long-term relationships they build
    • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax, and estate planning
    • The ability to manage a busy client book independently, with excellent organisational and communication skills
    • A solid understanding of regulatory requirements including Consumer Duty

    What's on offer:

    • Basic salary of up to £80,000, with some flexibility for an exceptional candidate
    • Quarterly bonuses linked to ongoing client revenue - total earnings of approximately £100,000
    • Full corporate benefits including pension, life assurance, income protection, and private medical insurance
    • Flexible working with 1–2 days from home once settled in the role
    • A well-resourced, well-regarded business with an excellent reputation across the South West

The South West is a fantastic market for private client financial planning, and this is a rare chance to step into an established role with a quality client base and the backing of a business with genuine scale and capability behind it.
