How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Waltham Cross

    Circa £55,000 + benefits

    Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (40 hours per week – excluding breaks)

    We’re now looking for a Learning & Development and Talent Lead to design, build and embed a progressive, skills‑led approach to learning and talent that genuinely improves performance on the ground.


    This is a career-defining opportunity for an experienced L&D professional who wants to move beyond “courses and programmes” and create practical, applied learning that sticks — shaping the function, the strategy and the future direction of L&D and Talent across the Group.


    The Opportunity

    This is not a “maintain what already exists” role.

    You will:

    • Design and lead a modern L&D and Talent function that is embedded into day‑to‑day operations.
    • Build skills‑based frameworks, Training Needs Analyses (TNAs) and development pathways that directly support productivity, engagement and succession.
    • Introduce a pragmatic, operationally relevant talent and succession model that leaders actually use.
    • Reduce reliance on traditional classrooms and innovate with on‑the‑job, blended and experiential learning.
    • Lead and develop a small, capable L&D team and raise the impact and visibility of learning across the business.

    You’ll work closely with Operations Directors, Site Leaders and senior stakeholders, positioning Learning and Talent as a commercial enabler, not a support function.
