How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Support Manager – Care Homes (Nurse Qualified)
    Location: Dorset – Weymouth, Dorchester, Bournemouth, Christchurch
    Salary: £50,000 per annum

    We are seeking an experienced Support Manager / Deputy Manager to oversee multiple care homes across Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a passion for elderly care, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

    About the Role:
    As Support Manager, you will ensure the highest standards of care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across several homes. You will mentor and support care teams, implement best practices, and drive improvements in resident wellbeing and care quality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and manage care home teams, supporting recruitment, training, and staff development.
    Mentor and coach care home managers and deputy managers to deliver exceptional care.
    Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgets, reporting, and business planning.
    Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CQC standards.
    Maintain and improve quality of care, ensuring residents live in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.
    Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
    Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes.
    Skills and Attributes:

    NMC-registered nurse with post-registration experience.
    Proven experience as a Deputy Manager, Care Home Manager, or Support Manager.
    Strong knowledge of compliance, regulation, and financial management in care homes.
    Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    Committed to delivering person-centered, high-quality care.
    Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites effectively.
