How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking to recruit and experienced Fork Lift Truck Driver / General Assistant based in Rugby – Paying £14.36 per hour.

    Job Specification:
    To provide a high-quality cleaning service by maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
    Responsible for delivering cleaning and hygiene services throughout the site with Forklift Truck duties and portering of item around the site. This role supports the daily operation of the production environment and contributes to a safe and efficient workplace for tenants, visitors, and staff.
    The role operates on a shift pattern; however, flexibility may be required to support cover for holidays, sickness, and business needs.

    Roles & Responsibilities - Duties to include but not limited to:
    · Follow the scheduled work plan and maintain full knowledge of all allocated cleaning areas.
    · Carry out all daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks to specification.
    · Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all production, welfare, and public areas.
    · Demonstrate full working knowledge of all cleaning materials, equipment, and methods.
    · Operate cleaning machinery safely, including pedestrian and ride-on scrubber dryers and sweepers.
    · Respond promptly to spillages, accidents, and emergency cleaning requirements.
    · Ensure adherence to company and Client rules at all times
    · Stock client fridges as required.
    · Move stock to client fridges and the on-site shop.
    · Maintain stock levels in PPE distribution areas.
    · Support stockroom organisation ensuring safe and clean storage areas
    · Safely operate an FLT in accordance with training, licence requirements, and site rules.
    · Conduct pre-use safety checks on all FLT equipment and immediately report defects.
    · Move pallets, goods, consumables, and materials across designated site areas.
    · Load and unload pallets safely, ensuring load stability.
    · Follow all site traffic routes, one-way systems, and speed restrictions.
    · Ensure safe storage and stacking of pallets and materials.
    · Transport equipment, stock, consumables, and waste around the site as required.
    · Support movement of materials for production and engineering teams.
    · Use appropriate manual handling techniques and mechanical aids (pump trucks, trolleys).
    · Assist with setting up or relocating items for operational needs.
    · Manage personal time effectively to meet service levels.
    · Cooperate with client and management requests, providing assistance where necessary.
    · Carry out any reasonable tasks requested by the client, Assistant Team Leader, or Soft Services Manager.
    · Follow all Company and Client safety procedures and systems of work.
    · Report any equipment defects or unsafe working conditions immediately.
    · Use all work equipment and PPE correctly and in accordance with training received.
    · Report all accidents, near misses, and incidents to the Line Manager.
    · Support investigations into accidents or safety-related events.
    · Work safely at all times, considering the safety of others.
    · Notify management of any health condition that may affect safe working.
    · Participate in safety improvements through communication and cooperation.
    · Follow all traffic management rules when operating FLTs or moving goods.
    · Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all site users and stakeholders.
    · Represent all company values and behaviours at all times.
    · Support the training of new staff members.
    · Assist team members with work-related queries and operational tasks.
    · Attend all required training sessions, toolbox talks.
    · Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
    · Complete machinery pre-use check sheets.
    · Ensure all areas meet specification and quality standards.
    · Ensure service delivery meets or exceeds SLA requirements.
    · Effective time management and prioritisation of operational tasks.
    · Consistency and reliability in meeting service and hygiene standards.
    · Compliance with Health & Safety and training expectations

    Qualifications &Technical skills
    ≡ FLT Licence ≡ Good general level of education.

    Experience & knowledge
    ESSENTIAL
    ≡ Physical manual handling required to fulfil the role
    ≡ Experience with FLT operations

    DESIRABLE
    ≡ Good level of verbal communication
    ≡ Previous cleaning and/or housekeeping experience (preferred).
    ≡ Experience in an industrial, warehouse, or production environment
    ≡ Strong organisational and time management skills.
    ≡ Ability to work well under pressure.

    ≡ Strong teamworking skills.
    ≡ Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers

    Working Hours:
    Sunday   08:30-13:30 (5)
    Monday to Thursday 08:00-15:30  (7.5)
    Friday and Saturday Days Off
