Careermakers are currently looking for a Estimator to join our client in the Warrington area on a permanent basis.
Start Date: ASAP
As an Estimator, you’ll play a vital role in the pre-construction phase of our civil projects. You'll be responsible for analysing tender documents, preparing accurate cost estimates, and contributing to successful bid submissions. This is a key role where attention to detail and industry experience are essential.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
* Review and assess tender documentation.
* Identify risks and opportunities within the scope of works.
* Work closely with the commercial and delivery teams to ensure smooth project handover.
* Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when required.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
* Prepare bills of quantities and pricing documents.
Requirements:
· Strong experience as an Estimator
* Proficient in estimating software
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
* Strong knowledge of infrastructure, drainage, earthworks, and highways projects
