Location - Oxford Oxfordshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Butler / Food & Beverage Service Manager to lead food and beverage service within a historic College environment.
Reporting to the Deputy Domestic Bursar, the role is responsible for the operational delivery of high‑quality service across the college. You will lead from the front, supervising and serving at formal dinners, guest nights, conferences and daily services.
The role involves:
Hands‑on management of food and beverage service operations
Supervising high‑profile College functions and large events
Maintaining exceptional presentation and service standards
Managing Deputy and Assistant Butlers and allocating shifts fairly
Working closely with College Fellows, including responsibility relating to wine and silverShifts are variable between 7am-10pm, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Ideal for candidates with experience in fine dining, events, or institutional catering who thrive in a high‑standards environment.
