Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking a dedicated and authoritative Independent Reviewing Officer to join the Safeguarding and Reviewing Team 2. The Offer

Rate: Up to £40.00 per hour, reflecting the high level of responsibility this role demands.

Duration: Initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension.

Your Impact
As an IRO, you will be the critical friend and the primary safeguard for children in care. Your responsibilities will include:

Chairing statutory reviews for looked-after children and ensuring their care plans are progressed without delay.
*
Monitoring the performance of the local authority’s function as a corporate parent.
*
Identifying and challenging drift or poor practice to ensure the best possible outcomes.
*
Engaging directly with children and young people to ensure their views influence their care.
