How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced leader in children’s residential care ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a passionate and driven Children’s Registered Manager to lead and develop a high-quality children’s home in the Birmingham area.

    ? The Role As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are consistently delivered.

    You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children and young people can thrive.

    ? Key Responsibilities
    Oversee the day-to-day running of the children’s home
    Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation
    Lead, support, and develop a high-performing staff team
    Promote a child-centred approach to care and positive outcomes
    Manage safeguarding concerns effectively and professionally
    Maintain accurate records, care plans, and reporting systems
    Drive continuous improvement and quality within the service? Requirements
    NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) – essential
    Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting
    Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulatory frameworks
    Proven leadership and team management skills
    Passion for delivering outstanding care and support
