How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Role:

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients across the UK and Ireland to develop tailored water treatment solutions, from first contact to final proposal. You’ll play a key role in identifying opportunities, advising on technical specifications, and contributing to the commercial success of our engineered projects.

    Sales & Business Development

    - Identify and engage potential customers through cold calling, networking, and email outreach

    - Uncover new market opportunities with existing clients

    - Understand customer needs and pain points; recommend technically and commercially suitable solutions

    - Deliver sales presentations, product walkthroughs, and demonstrations

    - Negotiate pricing and close deals in line with business targets

    - Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals

    - Use CRM tools to track leads, pipeline activity, and performance metrics

    Tendering & Technical Sales Support

    - Collaborate with technical teams to define process requirements and ensure compliance with water/wastewater quality standards

    - Review customer specifications and drawings to confirm compliance with system design.

    Who We’re Looking For:

    · A technically minded sales professional (or engineer with commercial flair)

    · Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally of capital equipment or technical solutions.

    · Skilled in managing the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and client engagement to closing deals and long-term account management.

    · Experience in water treatment or a related field is an advantage

    · Comfortable with both customer interaction and technical discussions

    · Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills — able to understand client needs and translate them into commercially sound and technically viable proposals.

    · Self-motivated, organised, comfortable working in a changing environment and able to operate as a self-starter with minimal supervision

    · Ready to grow with a company that’s actively investing in the future

    · Willing and able to travel regularly to client sites across the UK and Ireland
