How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Supply Teaching Assistant

    Location: Brent, London
    Salary: £85–£100 per day
    Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary (Term Time Only)
    Start Date: 20/04/2026
    Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
    Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications, and school expectations. Pay is aligned with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

    Teach Now is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistant to support a range of vibrant and inclusive primary schools across Brent, London. This Supply Teaching Assistant role offers flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to make a real difference in children’s learning without the commitment of a full-time position.

    Whether you’re an experienced Supply Teaching Assistant or looking to build your experience across EYFS, KS1, KS2, or SEN settings, this role provides valuable exposure to different school environments.

    About the Role

    As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work across a variety of primary schools, supporting teachers and pupils on a day-to-day or short-term basis. You may be placed in mainstream classrooms or supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as delivering small group interventions and boosters.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Teaching Assistant who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys working with different age groups and learning needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
    • Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support learning
    • Assist with boosters and intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy
    • Provide additional support for pupils with SEN
    • Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
    • Adapt quickly to new school settings and routines
    Requirements

    To succeed in this Supply Teaching Assistant role, you should have:

    • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK primary schools
    • A good understanding of EYFS, KS1, and KS2
    • Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
    • A flexible, proactive, and positive attitude
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • The right to work in the UK
