How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are urgently recruiting an Experienced Registered Children's home Manager or a Deputy Manager looking to step up for a reputable Children's residential home in Wiltshire.
    Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
    Devizes, Wiltshire
    Are you an experienced Registered Manager/ Deputy Manager looking to step up for a role where you can truly make a difference?
    This is a rare opportunity to lead a well-established, Ofsted-rated Good children’s home that is not in crisis, but on a supported journey towards Outstanding.
    You will have the autonomy to lead, the backing of a supportive senior team, and the chance to shape a service that genuinely transforms young lives.
    The Role:
    As Registered Manager, you will take full leadership of a residential home supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
    Your responsibilities will include:
    * Leading, mentoring and developing the team.
    * Overseeing care plans and quality standards.
    * Managing staffing, rotas and budgets.
    * Ensuring Ofsted and regulatory compliance.
    * Carrying out audits and driving service improvement.
    * Working closely with families and professionals.
    About You:
    * We are looking for someone who has:
    * At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager within the last 5 years.
    * Experience in an EBD residential setting.
    * Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
    * Proven leadership experience.
    * A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or is working towards it.
