How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Supply & Demand Manager

    Cheshire (Hybrid Working)
UK Travel + European Exposure (30%)

An opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Supply & Demand Manager to join a global FMCG manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This is a strategic leadership role, sitting as a key member of the UK Management Team, with full accountability for the end-to-end supply and demand planning function across the UK & Ireland.

    The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a complex, large-scale operation, managing supply and demand planning across an extensive customer base and multiple manufacturing sites.

You will play a key role in driving performance, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring alignment between operational delivery and wider business strategy.

    The Role

You will lead the end-to-end supply and demand planning function, ensuring forecasting, stock management, and production alignment are delivered with accuracy and consistency.

Acting as the central point of coordination, you will work closely with commercial, production, and supply chain teams to balance customer demand with operational capability in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.

This role combines strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership, requiring a hands-on approach alongside the ability to influence at senior stakeholder level.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Own the end-to-end alignment of demand, supply, and operational execution across a complex, high-volume environment

    * Align production, logistics, and customer demand through close collaboration with manufacturing sites and supply chain teams

    * Own and drive key performance metrics including forecast accuracy, stock levels, service performance, and slow-moving or obsolete stock

    * Manage performance through clearly defined objectives, roadmaps, and KPIs, including stock coverage, right-first-time performance, speed to market, cost–benefit analysis, and customer revenue impact

    * Play a key role in monthly and biannual European functional reviews

    * Act as a central interface across Supply & Demand, Commercial (Sales), Customer Technical Services (CTS), QA, Graphics, Logistics, Plant Management, and European teams

    * Maintain strong customer-facing relationships to support service delivery, continuity, and issue resolution

    * Ensure alignment with annual, 3-year, and 5-year business plans, translating strategic goals into operational KPIs

    * Translate business strategy into clear, actionable operational plans across short, medium, and long-term horizons

    * Drive continuous improvement across planning processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements

    * Lead and develop a high-performing team, coaching and supporting both direct and indirect reports to foster a collaborative and accountable culture

    * Contribute to cross-functional planning forums, including S&OP and wider operational review meetings

    Experience & Skills

You are a commercially aware, operationally strong leader with experience in supply chain planning within a complex FMCG or manufacturing environment.

You are comfortable working at pace, managing competing priorities, and making decisions that balance customer demand with operational constraints.

    * Proven experience in Supply & Demand Planning or Supply Chain Planning

    * Experience within a high-volume FMCG or manufacturing environment

    * Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain processes

    * Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams

    * Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data to support decision-making

    * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

    * Highly organised with strong attention to detail

    Desirable

    * Experience within multi-site or international supply chain environments

    * Exposure to S&OP and cross-functional planning frameworks

    * Understanding of logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations
