Location: Peterborough
Rate: £39.00 FCSA Umbrella (Inside IR35) or £28.50 PAYE
Duration: 12months – likely to extend
Key Responsibilities
* Lead manufacturing engineering deliverables across all NPI gateways.
* Own readiness reviews and ensure ME inputs are approved prior to each gateway.
* Working with facility Manufacturing Engineers to ensure new processes work seamlessly with the existing manufacturing processes.
* Deliver process design, PFMEA, control plans, standard work and documentation.
* Manage tooling, fixtures, and equipment from specification to commissioning.
* Support prototype, pilot, and validation build phases, ensuring issues are resolved between gateways.
* Support PPAP, capability studies, risk management, and launch readiness metrics.
Requirements:
* Strong NPI, programme delivery/ launch engineering experience in automotive or similar manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of precision manufacturing processes.
* Proven delivery within gated NPI processes.
* Strong PFMEA, control plan, statistical validation, and problem‑solving capability.
* Excellent stakeholder and technical leadership skills
