How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Client: My client is one of the UK's leading independent building services companies that specialises in several sectors including commercial, education, data centres, healthcare and retail. With a traditional engineering mindset and reinvestment into new principals, the business has an annual turnover in excess of £250M, operating nationwide. As a family business, relationship building is central to their culture and values. A huge bulk of their turnover comes from repeat business. This is a standard they strive to maintain by ensuring high standards are upkept across the board.

    Role: Senior Commissioning Manager (Mechanical Bias) – £85,000 - £100,000

    The successful candidate will be working on a major pharmaceutical development in Surrey. A £300m new build plus refurbishment

    Role/Responsibilities:

    ·      To manage, lead and coordinate projects in all matters relating to Commissioning Management and Validation for mechanical, public health, BEMS and controls and all building engineering specialist engineering services.

    ·      To manage, lead and coordinate all matters relating to those specific sites from Commissioning Management and Validation perspective.

    ·      To manage the Commissioning Management and Validation Services as required by the Business Assurance Scheme (QA)

    ·      To be responsible for all aspects of site safety for yourself and others including risk assessment, method statements.

    The ideal candidate:

    ·      Will be computer literate, happy to interact with client and get stuck in on site

    ·      Experience working in the commercial or data centre sector

    ·      Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Mace, Wates, etc.

    ·      Have the right forward thinking attitude
