The Role
As a Learner Engagement Officer, you will focus on attracting, engaging, and supporting learners from initial contact through to enrolment.
This is a hands-on, outreach-driven role where building relationships and engaging individuals is key to success.
Key responsibilities:
* Promote adult education and employability programmes within local communities
* Recruit learners onto AEB-funded courses
* Conduct initial engagement, assessments, and eligibility checks
* Support learners through the enrolment process
* Build relationships with job centres and referral partners
* Attend community events and outreach activities
* Maintain accurate records of learner engagement and recruitment activity
Ideal Candidate
You are a proactive and people-focused individual who enjoys engaging with others and making a difference.
You will bring:
* Experience in learner engagement, recruitment, or customer-facing roles
* Exposure to training providers, adult education, or employability programmes (desirable)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
* Organised and self-motivated approach to outreach work
* Ability to work independently across different locations
