How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Production Operative - Carpet Tile Manufacturing
    Location: Sanquhar, Dumfries & Galloway
    Employment Type: Ad hoc / Casual, Full-time hours not guaranteed

    Rate of Pay: £12.71 dayshift, £14.87 backshift

    We are recruiting for a leading carpet tile manufacturer based in Sanquhar, committed to producing high-quality flooring solutions. Their team takes pride in delivering exceptional products while maintaining a safe and collaborative working environment.

    Job Summary:
    We are seeking motivated and reliable Production Operatives to join a manufacturing team on an ad hoc basis. In this role, you will assist in various stages of carpet tile production, ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards. Full-time hours may not always be available, and shifts will vary based on production needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operate and monitor machinery used in carpet tile production.
    Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
    Handle, move, and store materials safely and efficiently.
    Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with health and safety standards.
    Assist with packing, loading, and preparing products for dispatch.
    Follow company procedures and adhere to production schedules.
    Support the team with other tasks as required.

    Skills & Experience:

    Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or similar roles is desirable but not essential.
    Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing workloads.
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    Good physical stamina, as the role may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.
    Team player with a positive attitude.

    Working Conditions:

    Ad hoc schedule; full-time hours cannot be guaranteed.
    Shift patterns may vary based on production requirements.
