Tanker Driver - Water Treatment (Class 2)

Job Role: Tanker Driver (Class 2)
Location: Gateshead, Tyne and Wear
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum (Average OTE £40,000-£45,000)
Hours: Monday–Friday 40 hours per week | Day Shift with Flexible Start & Finish Times(Weekend work Available)
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Interaction recruitment has partnered with a nationwide infrastructure maintenance and sustainability company. Due to their exponential success and growth, they’re actively seeking to onboard a drainage tanker operative with a Class 2 licence. The Duties

Operate a HGV drainage tanker to complete pre‑planned maintenance works.
Maintain the tanker and associated equipment to the highest standards.
Carry out vacuum tanker operations and wastewater management duties.
Adhere to all health & safety procedures, following safe working practices for tanker operations.
Work alongside an assistant, ensuring accurate communication and reporting back to the office.
Support the CCTV & Drainage teams by facilitating surveys, inspections, and detailed investigative works.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum one year of experience in the drainage industry.
Holds a Class 2 HGV licence as a minimum requirement.
Strong problem‑solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
Open to flexible working hours, sometimes as early as 2am and the occasional overnight stays.
