The Opportunity
As a Senior Ecologist, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Leading and delivering ecological assessments and habitat design
Developing practical, innovative mitigation and compensation strategies
Acting as Ecology Lead on projects
Managing projects from bid stage through to completion
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders
Producing and reviewing high-quality technical reports
Mentoring and supporting junior team membersAbout You
We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a passion for making a difference.
Good knowledge of UK ecology, habitats, and wildlife legislation
Experience with:
UKHab surveys
Preliminary Ecological Assessments (PEA)
Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA)
Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA)
Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)
Excellent report writing and communication skills
Experience with protected species surveys, mitigation, and licensing
Project management and client engagement experience
Membership of CIEEM (or equivalent), with Chartership (or working towards)
