About the Role

We're looking for a Facilities Assistant to join a friendly school based in Hackney. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic school facilities or site maintenance experience who's looking to secure a long-term role with potential for permanency.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of school buildings and grounds

Carry out basic repairs, cleaning, and general site duties

Support with setting up rooms and equipment for school activities

Ensure the premises are safe, secure, and well-presented at all times

Help monitor contractors and deliveries when required

Requirements

Previous experience in a school facilities, caretaking, or maintenance role

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Good communication and teamwork skills

Reliability and attention to detail

An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
