How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This school caters to pupils across both Primary and Secondary age groups, providing a fantastic opportunity for a versatile educator to make a profound impact on the lives of children with complex needs.

Top Daily Rates: Earn between £130 and £260 per day, with additional SEN allowances available based on your experience and the specific role.

    *

Ethical Values: We don't charge "buy-out" fees. If the school in Selly Oak wants to offer you a permanent contract, we won't stand in your way.

    *

Hassle-Free Tech: Use our app to manage your diary, see school details, and handle your timesheets effortlessly.

    *

Localised Work: We focus on placing you in schools within Selly Oak and the West Midlands to ensure a sustainable and easy commute.

To be successful as an SEN Teacher in this role, you must have:

    *

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

    *

Significant experience working as an SEN Teacher in a special school or SRP setting.

    *

Experience with Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach is highly desirable.

    *

A patient, resilient, and creative approach to teaching.
