How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Package Description: The Role

Are you a registered Nurse or Paramedic with at least two years’ recent experience in primary care or Emergency Department settings? If so, we would love to hear from you.

As an NHS 111 Clinical Advisor with IC24, you will play a key role within the urgent care system, supporting patients when they need timely, safe and compassionate clinical advice. The role involves managing a wide range of presentations, from physical illness and injury to acute mental health concerns, safeguarding issues and emotional distress, where your assessment and decision-making will directly influence patient outcomes.

Following six months in post, hybrid working may be considered subject to individual performance and service requirements.

In this role, you will apply your clinical knowledge and communication skills to undertake complex phone-based triage, provide appropriate self-care advice or onward referral, and support call handlers during high-pressure situations to ensure patients receive the right care, first time.

As a Clinical Advisor, you will:

Undertake detailed clinical triage and risk assessment using approved systems

Provide clear, calm and evidence-based advice to patients and carers

Support call handlers during escalations and critical incidents

Make timely clinical decisions in the interests of patient safety

Contribute to the effective flow of patients through urgent care services

This is a role for clinicians who demonstrate sound judgement, professionalism and a strong commitment to high-quality patient care.

Ready to use your voice to save lives? Join us at IC24.

This role values collaboration, encourages an inclusive and supportive environment, and promotes building respectful relationships with colleagues and patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with different communication styles and ways of thinking.
