We're supporting a leading social housing provider seeking an experienced Interim Asbestos Manager to take the lead on asbestos compliance across a diverse housing portfolio. This role is perfect for someone who can hit the ground running, steady the ship, and drive high‑quality compliance standards.
What you'll do:
Oversee asbestos compliance strategy, management plans and supplier performance
Ensure full adherence to CAR 2012, HSG 264 and sector best practice
Lead internal teams and external consultants to deliver safe, timely surveys, removals and reinspections
Strengthen policies, processes and data accuracy within asbestos registers and compliance systems
Provide expert advice to senior leaders and support risk assessments, audits and improvement programmesWhat you'll bring:
Strong background managing asbestos compliance within housing, local authority or similar environments
P405 (or equivalent) strongly preferred
Confident leader who can quickly build relationships and provide clear direction
