How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Technical Manager

    Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Car allowance

    Are you a Technical Manager with experience in the Fresh Produce sector? Experienced in supplying the retail market? Want to join a food business with a great culture and is growing? If so, we want to hear from you!

    This is an exciting opportunity for a customer facing Technical Manager to join a food business that is going through a period of investment and growth.

    As Technical Manager you will be primary contact for all technical matters within the business and be the link for all customers. You will manage internal audits, host BRC and customer audits and the management of supplier. This is an all encompassing technical position covering suppliers, compliance and customers and you will be responsible managing the technical function for the site to ensure the business is fully compliant for all customer requirements and audit ready at all times.

    This role would suit a Technical Manager with experience of working for a fresh produce business supplying the retailers or, maybe you are currently a Technologist looking for your first Technical Manager role. You must have great communication skills that will enable you to liaise effectively with a customer base as well as excellent leadership skills to drive forward the technical team. Experience of BRC is essential.
