How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Multi Site Technician
    Location: Luton, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard
    Contract Type: Permanent
    Working Hours: 42.5 Hours Per Week
    Salary: £41,506.36 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment)

    This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a number of site locations within a specified region.
    To carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs to a range of electrical, mechanical and building assets in ASDA stores in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the specified Company Health and Safety procedures.
    * Although not an exhaustive list, this is likely to include bakery and catering equipment, mechanical and electrical systems and assets, lighting systems, building fabric, water services and other static and portable electrical equipment. General maintenance and first look is required for all HVAC/Fire and Security and electrical and general issues.
    Key Responsibilities:
    * To complete all necessary PPM’s and ensure all PPM remedial tasks are accurately logged and actioned, ensuring legal compliance
    * To supervise the Maintenance Assistant (MA), provide regular coaching and support them to perform their role in line with company processes.
    * To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and contract SLA’s
    Qualities/ Experience:
    * C&G 2382 (18th edition)
    * Level 3 core Electrical qualification, examples of which are: C&G2330, C&G 2365 (with relevant experience), C&G2365 etc.
    Desirable but not essential:
    * Familiarity with completion of electrical certification
    * City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
    * Time served in electrical discipline or have relevant industry experience in a similar role.
    The ideal candidate:
    * Ability to maintain/repair a range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. fans, pumps and compressors, to recognised standards
    * General plumbing and building experience
    * Ability to work at heights
    * Current driving licence
