How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Building Surveyor – Oxfordshire

    Conrad Consulting are proud to be working with a respected multi‑disciplinary property consultancy seeking to appoint a motivated Building Surveyor to join their growing Oxfordshire team.

    The Role

    You’ll work across a wide range of Commercial, Education, Healthcare, and Public Sector projects, gaining exposure to both professional and project‑based building surveying duties.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Undertaking inspections, surveys, and condition assessments

    Preparing detailed reports, specifications, and tender documentation

    Assisting with project management and contract administration

    Supporting senior colleagues on complex commissions while managing your own workload independently

    Delivering professional services such as dilapidations, party wall, and landlord & tenant matters

    Contributing to client relationships and maintaining high standards of service delivery

    About You

    You’ll be a proactive, technically capable Building Surveyor who thrives under minimal supervision and enjoys working on varied projects.

    We’re looking for:

    Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline

    Progressing towards MRICS qualification (APC support provided)

    Strong technical and report‑writing skills

    Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines

    Excellent communication and client‑facing skills

    A genuine desire to develop your career within a collaborative consultancy
