How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator

    * Days Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm / Friday lunchtime finish Circa £40,000 PA

    * OR Nights Monday -Thursday 6pm-6am £50,000-£60,000 PA

    We’re currently seeking experienced CNC Milling Setter Operators OR CNC Miller Programmer/ Setters on the outskirts of Nuneaton (programming experience is advantageous but not essential). Working on the production of one-off and low-volume prototype components. This is a hands-on, rewarding role for someone who enjoys variety, precision work, and the challenge of machining bespoke parts where no two jobs are the same. Our work is diverse and technically engaging, often involving complex components that require a high level of skill and attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped environment where your work is valued, and your input is key to each project’s success.

    CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator Key Responsibilities

    * Setting and operating CNC 3 and 4 axis Machines

    * Work from engineering drawings and specifications to deliver accurate, high-quality results

    * Programming experience is advantageous

    * Generate CNC programs either offline using CAD/CAM software or directly at the machine using Fanuc, Siemens, or Hurco controls

    * Set up machines, load materials, and run test pieces to verify accuracy before full production

    * Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments as needed

    * Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards

    * Perform daily maintenance and general upkeep of machinery

    CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator What We’re Looking For:

    * CNC Milling and setting/ operating experience

    * Programming knowledge is advantageous

    * Confident working from detailed technical drawings and using precision measuring tools

    * A methodical and detail-focused approach to producing high-spec, low-volume parts

    * Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

    * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

    CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator - What’s on Offer

    * Days Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm / Friday lunchtime finish Circa £40,000 PA

    * OR Nights Monday -Thursday 6pm-6am £50,000-£60,000 PA

    * Overtime paid @ x1.5

    * Nights Monday-Thursday 8pm-6am (some flexibility around start and finish times)
