Maintenance Engineer
Salary £40 - 45,000 Bristol BS10, 33 days incl bank hols, pension 4.5 %, sick pay, life assurance, 38 hours a week Monday to Thursday 7am - 4pm early finish Fridays 7am- 11am, (the start and finish time is flexible within core hours of starting 6am - 9am) flexibility to work 4 days a week also an option, pension 4.5 % parking, bonus.

Friendly and successful aerospace engineering company in Bristol recruiting for a mechanical and electrical maintenance engineer or maintenance fitter who would report to the production manager.

Job description for the mechanical maintenance engineer

Mechanical maintenance and repair of production machinery
Knowledge of CNC machinery maintenance (mechanical) and other specialist machines
Basic electrical knowledge but ideally electrically qualified
Familiar with PPM
Monitoring and maintaining oil levels and lubricants for machinery
Ordering replacement parts and consumables like oil and lubricants
Competent in using hand and power tools to repair and maintain machinery
Liaising with machinery manufacturers to arrange specialist repairs and updating of control systems
Recording information and schedules on a computerised system (basic excel)
Competent in accurately interpreting engineering drawings

Key Skills required for the mechanical maintenance engineer

Qualified in mechanical engineering with NVQ or City & Guilds or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline
Electrical qualifications are preferred but not essential
Previous experience in mechanical maintenance of machinery including CNC and manual production machinery would be ideal
Familiar with PPM
Competent in accurately interpreting engineering drawings
Familiar with ordering parts, oil lubricants from suppliers to maintain machinery
Computer literate with the ability to record information and schedules on a computerised system (basic excel)
