How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Engineering Manager

    About the Role

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a dynamic operations team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence following significant recent investment.

    Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for leading and implementing the site’s maintenance strategy, covering both planned and preventative maintenance. You will provide strong technical leadership, manage and develop the engineering team, and help drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the site.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Promote and lead a strong culture of health and safety, acting as a role model at all times

    * Ensure all compliance requirements are met and that any remedial actions are completed promptly

    * Develop and implement the site maintenance strategy within agreed timelines, budgets, and resources

    * Provide technical leadership for capital expenditure and engineering projects, including cost evaluation, planning, and execution

    * Lead, manage, and develop the on-site engineering team, supporting skills development and knowledge sharing

    About You

    * Proven experience in an engineering leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial environment

    * Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, including planned and preventative maintenance

    * Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams

    * Experience managing capital projects and engineering investments

    * Excellent communication and organisational skills

    * Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
