How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Concept and detailed design of bespoke marine and subsea equipment
Performing engineering calculations, including stress analysis (Mathcad or similar)
    Supporting manufacture and assembly processes
Producing and maintaining technical documentation (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc.)
Providing technical support to clients (remote and occasional site-based)
    Peer reviewing engineering designs
Working closely within a collaborative engineering team
This is a varied role offering real ownership and exposure to challenging engineering problems.

Mechanical Design Engineers - The Person:

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Minimum 4 years’ experience of mechanical design
Experience with calculations and stress analysis
Background in subsea or marine design preferred
Experience with Autodesk Inventor (advantageous, not essential)
    Engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset
Team-oriented approach with good communication skills
Adaptability and willingness to take on varied engineering challenges
    What’s on Offer:

    Competitive salary based on experience
Annual bonus linked to company performance
    Private medical care
25 days holiday + additional long service leave
    Pension scheme
    Flexible / hybrid working options
    Ongoing training and development support
    Supportive, collaborative team culture

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys hands-on, varied work and wants to be part of a growing business where engineering quality and teamwork are at the core.
