Salary: Up to £18.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00 (45 hours per week)
Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing workshop environment, working on a variety of fabrication projects and producing high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities
● Fabrication of metal components from engineering drawings
● MIG and/or TIG welding to a high standard
● Cutting, bending, and assembling materials
● Working with a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
● Ensuring all work meets required quality standards
● Carrying out basic inspections of completed work
● Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
● Working independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
Requirements
● Proven experience as a Fabricator / Welder
● Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
● Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding
● Strong attention to detail and quality
● Good understanding of health & safety within a workshop environment
● Reliable and able to meet deadlines
Desirable
● Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications
● Experience using workshop machinery (press brake, guillotine, etc.)
● Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
