A well-established Alternative Provision in Wolverhampton is looking to appoint a permanent Motor Vehicle Tutor to support students in a hands-on vocational setting. This role is suited to someone with strong industry experience and a passion for working with young people who require a more tailored approach to education.
About the role:
You will deliver engaging motor vehicle sessions to small groups of learners, supporting them to develop practical skills, confidence, and a positive attitude towards learning. The role involves both workshop-based teaching and underpinning theory, with a strong focus on re-engaging students and supporting their long-term progression.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver practical and theory-based motor vehicle sessions
* Support students with a range of behavioural and educational needs
* Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
* Monitor and track student progress
* Work collaboratively with staff to support overall student development
Requirements:
* Background in motor vehicle mechanics or a related field
* Experience working with young people, ideally within education, training, or alternative provision
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* A teaching or training qualification is desirable but not essential
