SEND Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Fakenham. This role is available with an immediate start, initially until July 2026

Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
* Support pupils with a range of learning disabilities and additional needs
* Assist teachers with delivering adapted and differentiated learning activities
* Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
* Support pupils with routines, transitions, and daily classroom activities
* Work closely with teachers, SEND teams, and pastoral staff
* Encourage independence, confidence, and personal development in pupils
* Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
* Experience working in a UK school within the last 3 years
* Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities or SEND
* Patient, calm, and consistent approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable, flexible, and committed attitude
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
