How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are supporting a forward-thinking secondary school in Peterborough with modern sports facilities and a thriving sixth-form provision. They are seeking a passionate PE Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic temp opportunity for a dedicated teacher looking to develop within a supportive and well-resourced environment.
    Responsibility:
    * Teach Physical Education across KS3, KS4, and KS5, including A-Level PE.
    * Deliver high-energy, inclusive lessons that inspire engagement and promote healthy lifestyles.
    * Plan, assess, and monitor student progress, ensuring high standards across all key stages.
    * Contribute to the school’s wider sports programme, including clubs, fixtures, and events.
    * Maintain excellent behaviour management and a positive, motivating learning environment.
    * Support pastoral duties and attend department meetings, parent evenings, and whole-school events.
    Requirements:
    * Experience teaching PE up to A-Level is required.
    * Strong knowledge of the KS3–KS5 PE curriculum.
    * Ability to lead or support extracurricular sports teams and events.
    * Confident classroom and practical lesson management skills.
    * Strong communication, organisation, and team-working abilities.
    * A passion for sport, fitness, and student development.
