How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Full-time | Fixed-term Contract: ASAP – July 2027
    Key Stages 3 & 4
    Grade A Recruitment are seeking a passionate and creative Art & Design Technology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Peterborough area. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and challenge students through innovative and engaging lessons, nurturing their creativity and practical skills.
    Key Responsibilities:
    * Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across Art and Design Technology in line with the national curriculum.
    * Inspire students to explore creative ideas and develop technical skills through hands-on learning and experimentation.
    * Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to support development and achievement.
    * Maintain an organised and safe learning environment, ensuring the effective use of materials and resources.
    * Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and whole-school initiatives.
    Requirements:
    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant degree in Art, Design Technology, or a related subject.
    * Proven experience teaching Art and/or DT at secondary level (KS3–KS4).
    * Strong classroom management and communication skills.
    * A passion for creativity and a commitment to fostering student engagement and achievement.
    * The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
