How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contract: Long-Term (Until July 2026)
    Location: Norwich
    School: Ofsted-rated “Good” Secondary School
    We’re seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Norwich. This is a long-term role starting As soon as possible, running through to July 2026, with the potential for extension or permanent placement.
    This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of digital innovators and IT professionals in a school known for its supportive leadership and commitment to academic excellence.
    Responsibilities:
    * Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Computer Science lessons across KS3–KS5.
    * Foster students’ digital literacy and problem-solving skills through practical and theoretical learning.
    * Create an inclusive learning environment where all students feel motivated to achieve.
    * Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
    * Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.
    Requirements:
    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
    * Experience teaching Computer Science or IT within a secondary school setting.
    * Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver the national curriculum confidently.
    * Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    * Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and student achievement.
