How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Fabric Engineer 

    Landmark Commercial Site | Central London (CBD)
    SME Facilities Management Provider

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fabric Engineer to join a growing SME FM business supporting a high‑profile landmark building in the heart of London’s CBD. This is a hands‑on role offering variety, visibility, and the chance to grow with a business that values quality, teamwork, and long‑term development.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day fabric maintenance and upkeep of a prestigious commercial property, ensuring the building is presented and maintained to the highest standards. Working as part of a close‑knit on‑site team, you’ll play a key role in delivering a first‑class service to occupiers and visitors.

    Key Responsibilities

    Planned and reactive fabric maintenance across the building
    General building repairs including doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, tiling, and finishes
    Basic carpentry, painting & decorating, patch plastering, and minor joinery works
    Supporting inspections, audits, and compliance requirements
    Working closely with engineers, supervisors, and specialist contractors
    Proactively identifying fabric defects and improvement opportunities

    About You

    Proven experience in a Fabric Engineer or Building Maintenance role
    Strong all‑round fabric skillset with a proactive, can‑do approach
    Experience within commercial or landmark buildings preferred
    Comfortable working in a customer‑facing environment
    Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team
    Health & Safety aware with a professional attitude
