Test Technicians - Early, Late & Night Shifts

Location: Bedhampton, Havant
Contract: Long‑term PAYE (with potential for permanent employment)

A major aerospace manufacturer is growing its hydraulic test division and is looking for Test Technicians to support the testing of pumps, motors and mechanical valves used across civil and military aircraft platforms.

Shift Patterns
Day: 6:00-14:15 Mon-Thurs, 6:00-12:00 Fri
Late: 14:00-22:15 Mon-Thurs, 12:00-18:00 Fri
Night: 22:00-06:15 Mon-Thurs, 18:00-00:00 Fri

Responsibilities

Operate pressure and fuel test rigs
Conduct internal and external leak checks
Verify torque settings, pressures and flow rates
Shim and adjust components to achieve required cracking pressures
Interpret technical drawings and follow test documentation
Accurately record results manually and electronically
Work in line with DESAR, 5S and TPM standards
Escalate non‑conformances when necessarySkills & Experience Required

Experience testing mechanical valves (pressure or fuel systems)
Understanding of hydraulic systems and principles
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Knowledge of leak testing, torque checks and flow measurement
Familiarity with shimming, adjustment and DESAR processes
Aerospace or MOD experience beneficial but not essentialWhat's Offered

Test Technician Level 1

Basic: £16.04 (Advance Holiday: £18.37)
Overtime: £24.05 (Advance Holiday: £27.55)
Sundays: £32.07 (Advance Holiday: £36.73)
Earlies (10% uplift): £17.64 (Advance Holiday: £20.20)
Lates (25% uplift): £20.04 (Advance Holiday: £22.96)
Nights (33% uplift): £21.33 (Advance Holiday: £24.43)
