Overview
We're working with a well-established operator within the highways sector, who are looking to hire a Site Engineer on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role supporting the safe and efficient delivery of highways works, with strong opportunities for development and overtime.
A key requirement for this position is a background in the installation or maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage day-to-day site engineering activities to support successful project delivery
Carry out setting out, site surveys, and quality checks
Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and wider site teams
Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, specifications, and budget
Maintain accurate site records, drawings, and documentation
Drive compliance with health & safety standards and site procedures
Identify issues early and support practical, safe solutions on site
Requirements
Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within highways / civils
Background in installation or maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment (essential)
Good understanding of site engineering methods and construction processes
Strong working knowledge of health & safety requirements
Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate across teams
Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience
