Job Overview
Aspion are currently seeking experienced Class 1 (HGV) Container Drivers operating out of Liverpool. This role involves transporting containers to and from the docks and customer sites across the North West and wider UK.
A dock card (e.g. Port Skills and Safety / RHIDES) is preferred but not essential, provided you have proven container driving experience and a strong understanding of port procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Transport shipping containers safely and efficiently to and from ports and delivery locations
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
Ensure all loads are secure and compliant with legal requirements
Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time
Adhere to all driving laws, tachograph regulations, and company policies
Maintain excellent communication with transport planners and customers
Represent the company professionally at all times
Requirements
Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Minimum 1–2 years Class 1 driving experience (container experience preferred)
Experience with port work and container haulage
Dock card (preferred but not essential)
Good knowledge of UK road networks
Strong safety awareness and reliability
